I received my master degree in Atomic and Molecular Physics from the Alzahra University (Iran). During my master program, I surveyed the fungal decontamination using non-thermal plasma in atmospheric pressure and I have acquired experiences in Plasma Jet’s applications and optical emission spectrometry. Furthermore, this study brings me noteworthy experiences on general laboratory practices in basic Microbiology.
During my MSc and now in my PhD I got familiar with programing skills such as MATLAB and Python.

Project

All in all, the idea of environmental protection, with using sustainable feedstock is an invaluable idea especially using plasma technology as a green and environmental friendly source of energy.

Thanks to ComBioCat project, we have this opportunity to take part into interdisciplinary project with other research groups in the field of catalysis. Besides, we can share and expand our knowledge and experiences in the field of interaction with plasma, biological and chemical compounds in liquids.

My PhD Project is about CO2 reduction with non-thermal plasma reactor in liquids phase, combined with artificial enzymes as catalyst. For this purpose we will have collaboration with Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT) and University of Greifswald. The main goal of this project is to investigate the effect of plasma and enzymes on CO2 Conversion and final products.

Who are we?

We are a good dozen young researchers and their supervisors and we develop novel catalysts and reactions for a sustainable, green chemistry. In doing so, we combine different approaches from our fields: Chemistry, Biochemistry and Protein Engineering as well as Plasma Physics.
